From Extraordinary to Ordinary

My journey has been one of profound exploration, shaped not by personal choice, but by a time in my life when feelings of powerlessness evolved into understanding.

About BALÓYS

Baloys is an offering to help align mind, body, and soul.

Rooted in the wisdom of Ayurveda, yoga, mindfulness, supported by neuroscience and sacred presence, we offer education, coaching, guidance and compassionate support including end-of-life care.

Why Balóys Exists

Balóys was created as a space where people can explore their inner experience without labels, pressure, or performance. It is a space for presence, reflection, and reconnection—especially for those who feel disconnected from traditional spiritual or therapeutic frameworks.

Our mission is simple and sacred:

Be A Light Onto Your Self.

Through presence, dignity, and deep listening, we help you reconnect with your inner wisdom and walk your path with clarity and grace.

A Journey from Extraordinary to Ordinary

My work is rooted in a lifelong commitment to understanding the human experience. Long before I entered medicine, I was drawn to the emotional and existential layers of people—their unspoken fears, their search for meaning, and the subtle ways we become disconnected from ourselves. These early observations shaped the questions that guided my path: What is the mind? Why do we suffer? What restores a sense of coherence and wholeness?

These questions eventually led me into medicine and psychiatry. My clinical training and years of working across the full spectrum of mental‑health care—hospitals, community clinics, primary‑care settings, nursing homes, county jails, homeless outreach, older‑adult services, and multidisciplinary teams in Virginia, Washington State, and California—provided a comprehensive understanding of human behavior, the mind–body system, and the impact of stress, trauma, and life transitions. This work taught me discipline, humility, and deep respect for the complexity of human resilience.

It also revealed a consistent truth: even with excellent clinical care, many people continued to feel disconnected from themselves. Something essential remained unaddressed.

My medical background remains an important part of my foundation, but it is no longer the framework through which I serve. It informs my work without defining it.

A Turning Point

In 2023, a severe health crisis interrupted my life in a profound way. My nervous system collapsed. My cognitive and emotional capacities deteriorated. I entered a state of internal shutdown that was destabilizing, disorienting, and beyond anything I had encountered professionally.

The crawl back was slow and nonlinear. It required more than clinical knowledge, medications, and therapy. It required a deeper form of remembering—one that every wisdom tradition gestures toward in its own language, and one that science and quantum physics increasingly point toward. Through Yoga, Ayurveda, contemplative practices, community learning, and extended periods of introspection, I began to reconnect with a sense of presence that was not dependent on identity, performance, or achievement.

This experience reshaped my understanding of healing. It clarified that genuine restoration involves the integration of mind, body, and consciousness—not as a belief system, but as a lived reality.

How i work

Today, my work is grounded in presence, inquiry, and a non‑hierarchical way of relating. I do not practice medicine in this space, and I do not diagnose, treat, or provide clinical interventions. Instead, I walk with individuals as they reconnect with their own clarity, coherence, and inner stability.

My own journey through collapse and recovery informs the sensitivity and care I bring to this work. I understand the terrain of doubt, anxiety, self‑criticism, and disconnection not as abstract concepts, but as lived realities.

People often describe our time together as a shift from fragmentation to integration—a return to themselves rather than a movement toward something external.

The principles that guide my work are clear:

  • Presence over performance

  • Clarity over complexity

  • Union over fragmentation

  • Compassion over correction

  • Simplicity over spectacle

  • Humanity over hierarchy

These values reflect both my clinical training and my lived experience. They allow me to support others without assuming authority, superiority, or the role of a fixer.

Beyond Individual Work

My broader vision includes a collaborative ecosystem of offerings that support mind–body–consciousness integration, including:

  • Ayurvedic products

  • Yoga classes

  • Meditation retreats

  • Workshops and teaching engagements

  • Healing journeys

  • Energy‑based practices

  • Community‑building spaces

Each offering is designed to support individuals in reconnecting with their own inner stability and wisdom.

An Invitation

I’m still learning. Still unlearning. Still meeting my own edges with honesty. This path is mutual—every encounter reveals something new about love, fear, and the nature of truth.

Ram Dass said, “We are all just walking each other home.”

This work is my way of walking with you.

My mission is to help dissolve the illusion of separation and bring truth into everyday life—to model a way of being that is grounded, sincere, and whole.

If you’re here, something in you is searching—for clarity, for grounding, for meaning, or simply for a place where you don’t have to pretend. I understand that search.

If you feel drawn to this work, it is an invitation to return to what has always been present within you.

An invitation to be a light unto yourself.
